Best Paper AWARD

The Award

Many scientists contribute valuable time away from the established career paths of research, teaching, and publishing their work to through conferences and  journals, addressing key science questions and build important societal links. The 'Best Paper AWARD' commitee seeks to recognize an individual or a group of researchers working together in the scientific or engineering community for making an outstanding contribution on flood resilience technology.

The 'Best Paper AWARD' is presented at the SMARTeST International conference- IMPLEMENTING FLOOD RESILIENCE, which will be held in 27 – 28 September 2012, in Athens - Greece..
The prize is awarded to the scientist (or team of scientists) that have presented the best paper, as judged by the scientific commitee of the conference. The two winners will get a prize of 500 euros each, as a subsidy for the continuation of their scientific work.

Who is eligible

The award is open to all regardless of nationality or citizenship. Nominees must be researchers that have finished PhD studies and are somehow connected nowadays actively to research. Any individual or small group in the scientific community that has a scientific advance to present to this international conference, is eligible for this award.

Please submit your paper abstract and register the conference before paper April 1st 2012.

Deadline is considered the final date of 'Abstract submission', which is April 1st 2012.
